Q. What's the difference between cow and sheep hide?
A. Cow and Buffalo is the tougher hide and because of its strength it is
commonly used when making motorcycle jackets. It's mainly used in shoes
for its durability, as well as furnishing and other leather garments.
Due to the size of the animal, Buffalo has more grain in the leather
than cow.
Sheep hide has a much finer grain. Because of this, garments made with
sheep leather are a lot softer and are often described to have a
'buttery' texture.
